The GeneTree DNA Prenatal Paternity Test determines the relationship between a child and an alleged father before the child is born. The GeneTree DNA Testing Center provides prenatal DNA paternity testing services from sample sources collected by:
How
are amniotic fluid specimens collected?
An OB/GYN will have to perform a procedure called amniocentesis to collect
cells from the unborn child found in the amniotic fluid. We can either work
with your current physician or assist you with finding an OB/GYN in your
area.
How to Start?
A $300 dollar deposit must be paid to GeneTree prior to any appointment
scheduling and assistance with finding a physician in your area. The
remainder is due before the DNA is tested in the laboratory. To initiate the
paternity testing process for court, clients must call, fax, email or mail
the appointment scheduling forms to the GeneTree DNA Testing Center. For
Legal Cases, when the clients arrive at the specimen collection facility, a
specialist will then collect the cheek cell specimens, fill out the
chain-of-custody form, and send the samples to the laboratory. A picture ID
is required at the time of the cheek cell collection and the amniocentesis
procedure.
The
best place to start is to consult with your current OB/GYN, or find a local
OB/GYN in your area (by looking in the phone book or asking your doctor) to
collect the amniotic fluid through a process called amniocentesis. Make sure
that you tell them that GeneTree will be sending out the kit used for the
collecting and shipping the amniotic fluid samples. The doctor will only
have to perform the amniocentesis procedure, fill out the specimen
collection forms and ship the specimens. Everything else will be taken care
of.
