The Ancestral Origins+Euro test is very good at predicting the mixture of intra-continental origin(s) a person comes from. This Ancestral Origins+Euro DNA test combines the Ancestral Origins DNA and the Euro-DNA Upgrade into one complete package.
This test examines 320 SNP markers (this is
including the 175 AncestryByDNA markers) to look deeper within
the following European lineages:
European:
Native American:
Populations that migrated from Asia to inhabit North, South and Central America.
East Asian:
Japanese, Chinese, Mongolian, Koreans, Southeast Asians and Pacific Islanders,
including populations native to the Philippines.
African:
Populations from Sub-Saharan Africa such as Nigeria and Congo region.
*This particular person did not have Southeastern European (Mediterranean) or South Asian DNA in his make-up. A person with all Four Lines of European could have up to 7 lines on the bar graph.
The DNAdetective services use DNA profiles obtained from special specimens, such as licked envelopes, hair, toothbrushes, semen, blood stains, chewed gum, or other biological specimens. These DNA profiles can then be compared to DNA profiles from a cheek swab, blood, or special specimens such as those listed above.
