The AlcoTector Breathalyzer
The ALCOTECTOR
is a state of the art instrument used to detect Ethyl Alcohol from a valid
breath sample. The ALCOTECTOR uses an electrochemical fuel cell to measure the
concentration of alcohol from the sample of expired breath from a human subject.
If alcohol is present, a corresponding voltage is generated from the fuel cell,
which is proportional to the alcohol content of the sample provided by a human
subject. This voltage is then sent to the CPU and converted to a subjects BAC
which is then displayed on the display of the ALCOTECTOR. You
may purchase mouthpieces one at a time, or
100 at a time. It is recommend to purchase them in packs

1 - Used voluntarily, do not use if court-mandated.
2 - Most Police Departments will have the equipment to
recalibrate Fuel Cell Breathalyzers. You may also download the Recalibration Manual
and do it yourself.
3 - The AlcoMate Premium (AL7000),
AlcoMate Prestige (AL6000) ,
AlcoScan AL-3100 and
AlcoScan AL-3500 does not require a recalibration service.
Simply replace the sensor module every 500 uses.
4 - The AlcoTector has the greatest accuracy of all our
breathalyzers. Fuel Cell technology can detect Ketones in a diabetic, and
alcohol based mouthwash, and will NOT increase the BAC. So a person can
NOT use either of these two excuses when tested with an AlcoTector
5 - Two Sensor Modules will be shipped with the unit, giving you
a total of 1000 uses before you need to replace the sensor module. Sensor module
comes with easy to replace instructions. Any person should be able to replace
the module.
6 - The Drager/Draeger Car Breathalyzer will be sent to the installation
center closest to you, or where ever you chose. A professional will install your
breathalyzer. All you have to do is bring your car to the designated
installation center. Installation fee generally is around $50-$150. It will be
determined by the installation centers in your area. Download the

7 - The AlcoScan AL-3500 does not require mouthpieces, but you are
required to use a plastic straw to blow into the machine. 200 will be shipped
with the unit. Any standard plastic straw will work when the provided 200 are
used up.
