Inspect product before use. Expose the adhesive backing by removing the perforated corner labeled "Adhesive Back" to remove the protective film and affix to a dry surface. The Haz-Mat Smart-Strip can also be suspended by using the provided clip.
Activate the reagent squares by removing the protective layer by pulling the perforated corner labeled "Protective Film". A positive indication is displayed as any color deviation within the reagent area as compared to the surrounding border. Upon conclusion of the maximum operational period (12 hours) with negative results, the strip should be discarded and a new strip activated. The shelf life of an unopened / sealed Haz-Mat Smart-Strip is limited to 24 months.
First Aid/Decontamination:
Should a positive indication occur, immediately remove yourself from
the area and seek recommended decontamination/medical treatment. Proper
authorities should be notified and the strip considered contaminated. Under
no circumstances should work persist in the area without proper training or
equipment.
Precautionary Statement:
Upon contact with any substance, the reagents may become contaminated
and should be considered inactive. Also, this device is designed primarily
for liquid or aerosol contact. The chart indicates expected reactions
although false positives and deviation from the tested standards can occur
under extraordinary circumstances.
It is a violation of Federal Law to use this product in a manner inconsistent with labeling.
