Out of Range Results

IF YOU ARE OUT OF RANGE ...

If your blood sugar level is above the target range of 140 mg/dL:

  • Did your meat have more carbohydrates in it than you planned?
  • Did you eat something different?
  • Have you been stressed-out, emotional, or sick?
  • If food and activity don't seem to be the cause, look at your blood sugar record and diabetes medications with your healthcare professional.
  • Work with your healthcare professional to set target ranges that are the best for you.
  • Did you get less exercise than usual?
