What advantages does Landmark offer over a traditional blood draw?
-
Since Landmark's collection and processing methods require only
finger stick samples, the possible trauma to your clients,
produced by venous blood draws, is eliminated. Additionally, in
most cases there is no need for the added expense of a licensed
phlebotomist, or the logistical problems associated with
centrifuging and transporting whole blood samples.
Are
Landmark's collection methods for professional use only?
-
Although some of our collection methods are limited strictly to
professionals, our patent pending AdvanceDx100 collection card
was developed for professional as well as individual
self-collection. In fact, nothing could be simpler for either
to use.
How
do your tests and collection methods differ from other on-site
collection methods?
-
Although cholesterol and a few other tests are currently
available for on-site, rapid results screening, they are usually
associated with expensive equipment that must be maintained and
calibrated. Refrigeration of components is also sometimes
required. The components of Landmark's collection kits require
no special treatment or handling and have a shelf-life of five
years. Also, since Landmark's tests are analyzed by our CLIA
Certified and CAP accredited laboratory, unlike on-site testing,
an actual easy-to-interpret laboratory report will be printed
and mailed to each person tested. The reports, in turn, can be
shared with their respective health care providers.
Can I also receive patient results if I am a professional drawing
the blood samples?
I am a professional and meet HIPAA requirements. Can I receive
results electronically?
-
Absolutely! Landmark can report results to you via FTP (File
Transfer Protocol). Results are reported out to an FTP server in
the format, sequence, and frequency you choose. Through the use
of a username and password, you access the file server, download
your information, and automatically populate your database or
spreadsheet. This sure beats hand entering data.
How do I know that Landmark prostate tests are accurate?
-
Our collection and transportation methods do not rely on
reinventing the science behind the tests. Since we either use
dry serum already extracted from the AdvanceDx100 device or a
whole blood micro-sample, our actual laboratory processes mirror
those used in any standard reference lab in the country - same
test, same analyzer, same result. All of our tests have been
validated and our performance data are available
electronically. Please contact us if you would like copies.
How many prostate tests do you currently have available?
-
Currently we have five tests that are available for either
professional or patient self-collection using the AdvanceDx100
collection device. We have an additional three
combination tests available for professional use only. We are
actively working on four more tests that we expect to have
available by the end of the year which will also use the
device. However, since we have the ability to work with
platforms other than the AdvanceDx100 we can run most any single
blood test that's available. If we don't currently have it,
ask us. We will probably be able to develop it.
I would like to offer my clients/customers something that reflects
my corporate image. Does Landmark offer any form of
customizability?
-
One of Landmark's key objectives is to partner with our
customers wherever and whenever possible. Obviously, there will
always be limitations of time and money regarding changes to
ongoing practices, but we designed Landmark to be flexible in
this area, and we will do everything we can to accommodate your
requests. Our product and packaging design team stands ready to
assist you in any way they can to help make your project or
concept successful.
I am a professional who screens hundreds of people each year. In
the past, using another company, occasionally my samples would get
delayed in the mail or, sometimes, even lost. Can I look forward to
the same thing with Landmark?
-
Depending on where a sample comes from, using standard "ground"
postage can sometimes result in delays. At Landmark we have
found a way around that problem. For our professional customers
who screen more than one or two people every once in a while, we
are offering overnight shipping by select carrier at no
additional cost. If you send five or more samples to our lab at
one time we will supply you with pre-paid overnight mailers.
This does two things: it gets the samples to us in the shortest
possible time, and it allows you to track your important package
to ensure against loss. You'll never have to worry about
delayed or lost samples again!
Do I have to send my sample(s) to you immediately? How long do I
have before the sample cannot be processed?
-
Once dry, the AdvanceDx100 samples are extremely stable. We can
process specimens up to 28 days from the date of collection.
Since we offer overnight shipping to our volume customers, this
means that you can "batch" ship a day or two of screened samples
to us and they will still, in all probability, get to us quicker
than if you had used regular mail. (Note: Other specimen
collection methods may require that the sample be shipped
overnight.)
