GeneTree DNA Personal Maternity (Standard)
The DNA personal maternity test requires child and mother; father is optional, and provides results in 7-10 days. This test has an accuracy/reliability greater then 99% due to use of advanced GeneTree DNA technology.
The GeneTree DNA Maternity Test determines the relationship between a child and an alleged mother. Provisions for testing the biological father are included with this test at no additional charge and are totally optional.
Samples are obtained from the child and from the alleged mother (a father's participation is optional, but strongly suggested). Most often, you can collect DNA samples at home by rubbing a swab (provided in the test kit) on the inside of your cheek. However, DNA can also be extracted from hair, tissue, or fluids with cells in them, e.g. blood for additional fee using GeneTree DNA Special Specimen Collection kit. After you collect the sample, send the test kit to our facilities. The results will be available to you within 7-10 business days. The private test is generally not admissible in courts of law. Accuracy for paternity exclusion is 100%. Accuracy for paternity inclusion is above 99%. The personal maternity tests are not designed to be strongly supported in a court of law.
