| Explanation of DNA Profile Analysis: | |
Eleven discrete locations on several different chromosomes were used to construct the DNA profiles for each individual tested. Table 1 shows John Doe-Alleged Father to have identification markers 12 and 13 at the D13S317 STR chromosome location and Johnny Doe-Child to have identification markers 8 and 14 at the same STR chromosome location. This suggests that neither identification marker was passed from the alleged father to the child. Furthermore, this data suggests that Jane Doe-Mother passed identification marker 8 to the child at this STR location. Results from the other STR chromosome locations are also listed in Table 1. Each marker has an established probability of occurrence in the general population and among different ethnic groups. |

| Conclusion | |
DNA profiling was performed by standard methods and has been completed on samples in the name of John Doe-Alleged Father, Jane Doe-Mother and Johnny Doe-Child. Based on the observed scientific evidence, it is concluded, for all practical purposes, in reference to the submitted samples, that there is a 0% probability that John Doe is the biological father of Johnny Doe-Child. Therefore, John Doe-Alleged Father is excluded as the possible biological father of Johnny Doe-Child. |
