The GeneTree DNA Personal Paternity (Fatherless) test requires child, mother and alleged father's parents to determine the genetic father of a child using the GeneTree DNA Personal Paternity Fatherless test.

This product is actually a test option for both the standard and priority GeneTree DNA Personal Paternity tests. The best way to understand how this option works is best explained by the following examples:

Situation #1.) If the father is deceased or is no longer in contact, then you should order one GeneTree DNA Personal Paternity Test (standard or priority) and one GeneTree DNA Personal Paternity (Fatherless) test option.

Situation #2.) If the father will not permit testing and the mother wants to know whether or not he is the father of a child, then you should order one GeneTree DNA Personal Paternity Test (standard or priority) and one GeneTree DNA Personal Paternity (fatherless) test option.
