PERFORMANCE CHARACTERISTICS

The ChemcardTM Glucose Test has an effective measurement range of 50 to 150 mg/dl. In clinical trials, ChemcardTM results were found to correlate well (r=0.94) with split sample laboratory results obtained using a Kodak Ektachem 700R clinical analyzer. The ChemcardTM is highly effective in screening for normal vs. abnormal glucose levels, exhibiting a classification accuracy of greater than 94% (95% confidence interval) in clinical trials. In clinical trials, the ChemcardTM correctly classified 100% of those patients with abnormal fasting plasma glucose. Of those patients with normal fasting plasma glucose, the ChemcardTM correctly classified 98.9%.
