Your BIOSAFE PSA4 result is within the normal reference range.
An elevated PSA does not necessarily mean you have prostate cancer or prostate disease, and similarly, a normal PSA level does not rule it out. Only your primary health care professional can make a diagnosis with the aid of additional testing.
The BIOSAFE PSA4 result should be considered informational only and does not constitute a diagnosis of, nor indicate the absence of prostate cancer or disease, and should not replace an office visit with your primary health care professional.
A PSA test and digital rectal exam (DRE), performed by your primary health care professional, are more effective in aiding the detection of prostate cancer or prostate disease when done together.
Conditions other than prostate cancer can cause a PSA level to be elevated or may influence your BIOSAFE PSA4 result. If you are concerned or have questions, talk with your clinician, or call a BIOSAFE nurse advocate.
It is recommended that you contact your primary health care professional in the near future for follow-up and explanation of your BIOSAFE PSA4 result.
