The patient uses the included finger lancet to obtain a drop of fingertip blood, applies the blood to the collection card and mails the collection card to BioSafe Laboratories in the provided mailer. No costly, cumbersome instrumentation is required.

ACCURACY: Paired EDTA whole blood and dried blood spot samples containing varying concentrations of Diabetes A1c were analyzed. Percent Diabetes A1c concentrations observed for the dried blood spot specimens versus EDTA whole blood were analyzed by linear regression.
